My girlfreind is going to murder me! I just put a $700 bid on a lobster tank on e-bay. What the hec right? we dont need a garage! LoL. If I get it ill let everyone know when im throwing a lobster party!

No arrowana's wont go in a ferigerated tank. Its a 70 gallon tank made specificlly for lobster since it doesnt have heaters but accually is a refrigerated tank.. and And what does one do with lobsters you ask? Well I wouldnt get to attached to them. You guys no how much a big lobster cost at the store here in california? I paid over $200.00 bucks for 3 of us last time I BBQ (Last monday nightfootball). I could cut that price in half raising my own. Its 70g but they dont give the dementions . Its a Octagon tank. Im been out bided right now but we will see.

Apparently you bash them hard on the head to knock em out and then chuck them in boiling water. Well, that's how I've seen Chefs do it anyway. Sounds a nasty way to go IMO!

They dont bang on the head they put elastic bands on there claws and throught he strait into boiling water......

Aparently they make a screaming sound Its not them screming its just the air escaping fromt there bodies but its still a horrifying thought

Unfortunatly no. I wasnt willing to out bid $800 I guss alot of people want lobster tanks . Aside from my regular job (Paintball) Iv been a cook for 6 years now. Iv always had a very hard time killin lobsters. And then i got pinched after that it wasnt to bad. But yes we ussually do just toss them in live.

No offense to anyone here who boils, but I was told a real chef (like I saw Julia Child once do it) does it right and splits the head with a chef knife right through the middle and then through the rest of the body... i.e., cuts/splits the body down the middle, but does the head first. Much quicker kill than boiling, plus you get to roast or pan fry or bake the meat instead; in boiling, you lose alot of juices and flavor.
