I have muticolourd balloon molly fry

Hi all i got home this afternoon just in time as my black balloom molly was having her fry. Im not to fused usuly when she has them as they are usuly all black but not this time she finaly has some multicoulred ones they look so cute i have got black and white pachy ones orange black and white ones and a hole bunch of colourd ones.
I had a few deaths though. a couple got eaten befor i could get to them and a few had what i think must have been a birth defect as when i looked at the dead ones they all seemed to have a big hole in there stomachs??? Any one have any ideas of vues about it?? Also i noticed the mother drop a few yell egg type things that the other fish snaped up.
Other than that im a very happy fishy i have all sorts of colourd fry and the mother is still hiding away so i might have a few more by morning.

congrats! It's always SO much fun watching the fry develop their coloration and dart around the tank. Yeah the other fish are great at cleaning up any deformed/dead/sick fry or sterile eggs.

Hope the momma is doing just fine. I bet she's thinking "WOW, I'm 5 pounds lighter all of a sudden!"

Im sure she would think that if is wasnt for the male realising shes had them and trying to get her pregnant again already hes left her alone for ages untill now. Its funny how they know these things. Im hoping some of them turn out like there dad as hes got the bigest top fin i have ever seen and looks nice he looks like hes got a moheekan.

Is he a sailfin then? They have dorsal fins like you are describing. Try googling it.....you might bet some ideas!!!
