I had a pregnant guppy fish. I thought there was still some time before delivery but I got home today to find that she gave birth what a disaster :shout: I don't know how many of the fry were eaten and how many are still alive.:shout::shout::shout: I don't know what to do. How can I save the others? :shout:I had a spare tank for the fry but I didn't figure the timing right.:shout: My bigger tank is filled with shells and a house and some live plants will this help? how can I feed the fry in the presence of the bigger fish? I also have cories are they dangerous to the guppy fries they are bottom dwellers PLEASE HELP

Fry are great hiders if they have good cover. Adding a bunch more live plants- even just floating- will help with survival rates. Feed them the same thing you would the adults, only be sure to make it fine enough for small mooths.

:) thanks I already saw nine :p :p :p hope they can survive :good:

They are going to have to fend for themselves, they will be OK though.

Now I have got another question. :/ My fish dealer tells me that fry , starting from the tenth day after birth, should eat live worms. :hyper: Is that true? he also says I should put the worms in a container having holes and leave it in the fry tank. :sly: won't that make the water dirty and unhealthy for the fry?

does your lfs happen to sell live forms and the worm container/feeder?
he is just trying to sell you more stuff.

Can I give up dried food for live worms forever? won't that make the fish sick? Don't the fish need vitamins that are added to dry food?

I give my fry a mixture of frozen food and liquifry. My LFS also gave me some wholesale fry food from a fish farm in Wales that supplys the store and the fry go crazy for it. They dont' sell it in store but gave me a couple of months supply for being such a loyal customer :good: It pays to strike up a good relationship with one particular fish store!
