Hi Folks, My greshake's have had fry!! I noticed them the other night, well chuffed lol. But whats the best thing to do, Should I get a breeding net and put the mum in it or wait till the fry are bigger and just put them in it?

cheers chish

Yeah she is still holding, well she spat one the other day but I think thats because she was trying to munch on an algae wafer, cause she sooked it back up.

I'll think about what to do, cheers for those links they were very helpful, a mate of mine can give me a wee 10g tank, and I already have a filter for one, so I would just need a heater.

well the fry are gone, I chose to keep her in the main tank to see what would happen, it seems she may have spat them and they have been eaten, who knows though they may be hiding somewhere.

That's too bad, but I assure you, she'll breed again.
I currently have a m.callainos holding, one of my l.caeruleus spit recently, one of the p.acei swallowed her eggs for the second time; for the last four or five months I've had at least one female holding, when they get in the breeding groove they just don't quit. :shout:

Cool thats good to know. SHe is just eating loads at the mo, she lost alot of weight, so I think I might get a wee breeder tank for when it happens again, oh and I think my yellow labs are at it too lol
