Ok so i have 8 baby fry in a 20 gallon tank whom i stripped from their mother. Ive been feeding them liquid fry food and crushed flake food. Today i am planning on getting some baby brine shrimp. What else should i be doing.. How often should water be changed.. They have a few tera cotta pots in the tank. Sand substrate and a small box filter. Its all i could afford to do and had all the spare parts to just throw it together last minute for them.. What needs to be done. What am i doing right/wrong?

Thanks

It would appear that your doing everything right. you do need to do more water changes though, maybe 15% every few days, and dont foreget the declorinator. do regular water tests for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, what fry are they?

They might be hybrids.. The mother is a Red Zebra.. The male is still unknown. I will find out as they grow. If it turns out they are hybrids they will stay in my hands and will not be passed out. If i needed to get rid of them, they will become food for other fish. Anyways I had 8 that seems like a small litter. Whats the average number per litter?

Ahh I understand.. Yes i have all 8 of them still going strong.. They had some brine shrimp yesterday today all the extras in the portion were dead so i did the best i could to suck the majority of them out with my water change. This was the females first holding and she held it full term which suprised me but it was a pleasant suprise. Anyways thanks for the info.
