Hi all its been over a year (last post 6th july 2006) since i have posted here .. since then i had lost all my fish :flowers: , gorden (male guppy) was still doing well till 2 weeks ago and he finally died too... i cant belive after all my problems the tank lasted a year -_-

Anyway i let my tank (20Litre UK hexagonal) contune to cycle and today i had readings of ~
Ph ~ 7.6
Nitrite ~ 0ppm
Ammonia ~ 0ppm
Nitrate ~ 10ppm

So i have just went and brought 4 rosey tetras, ok they arnt the nicest tropicals around, but i like them and thats all that counts  i am hoping to add another 4 species of tetras in a few (2/3) weeks...

Hope you dont mind me joining back in :look:

:hi: back!

off the top of my head 20 litres is around 5 gallons, so rosy barbs are too big for a tank that size, tetras shoal so you would need around 5 of them each so you couldnt even fit 1 species of them in. I would advise taking the rosy barbs back and getting a male betta and some shrimp (cherrys or ghosts are my favourite).

I think 4 rosy tetras probably your limit on stocking if you are overfiltered!
