I Have Been Given A Problem.....

Well.....

Got a phone call at 11.15am today. It was my wife. She said that the next-door neighbours mate was standing on the doorstep with a bucketful of fish!

I asked her to pass me over, after asking what they were, and she couldn't answer me.

"Yeah mate, they are spotty ones!", was the response to the same question.

"Some black and white, some orange, some white, some white and orange.........", you get the picture, yes?

After asking a few more educated questions, I deduced that they were nearly all mollies. Marbled inbreeds of various ages.

I then asked if there was an errant tank involved in all of this, and it turned out that the fish were from a 10 gallon. I then asked how many.

"About a hundred mate.."

I nearly fell over!

Most of the hundred are fry of less than a month old. But there are juveniles aswell, and two adult marbled mollies, along with two Mickey Mouse platties and a few other sunset platties.

HELP!

Now own an extra tank, with lots of fry that are no use to me other than as feeders in my Cichlid tank.

I won't do that, so they are going free.

PS, It's not all bad, now I can build that micro planted tank that I've been talking about........

You could always use them as feeders for your other tank if you have carnivourous fish....

Most true LFS would take them off your hands and maybe give you store credit for them. Other than that, do you have room for a 300 gallon tank?

Yep!

There are actually 82 of them.

Just counted them as fast as I could. Might be a few more or less......but there will be more soon I know it...they just wont leave each other alone.....ordering a Trigon 350.......built the rest of the fishhouse...now I'm a kipper dealer....made my million...moved to Oz.

And then I woke up surfin on my cornflakes, and sking in my weetabix
