Well, about 6 moths ago we got some mollies from our lfs and the day after we got them a black female molly had about 15 babies. Our tank is a 100 gallon, so it took us awhile to catch all the babies. we put them in a breeding trap and raised two successfully. The larger dalmation coloured of the two fry is now about three times the size of the smaller black one, and has a gravid spot on her belly. is it possible she is pregnant already?

How old are they? 6 months? I believe Mollies can breed at 6 months, but I could be wrong. Anyway, all young females will have gravid spots, that just means they are female. However, if she steadily gets fatter, I would say she's pregnant. Who could she get pregnant by, is it just the other fry in with her? Can you tell if it's a male?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure this out.

yeah, the other fry is male, and shes getting bigger and bigger by the day...looks like my baby is gonna be a mommy! yay!
