Okay, the LFS ordered 2 female bettas for me on saturday, and should be in on wednesday. I think they are being shipped from California to Oregon, but it's still a long trip for bettas. Would it be to much for them if I treated the water with that fin-reparing slime coat-replenishing stuff? You know, that stuff you use after your bettas spawn to help them get back to full health.

Question 2, about how old are bettas before you can tell wether they're male or female? And also, can someone tell me how big they are at what age, and when would be a good time to seperate them into individual jars?

Is there anything else I can do for my new bettas when they get here? They're going to be pretty freaked out, I'll betcha.

Thanks for the help ahead of time! :flowers:

Keep them in a darker quiet environment for the first few days. I don't mean a closet, I just mean no lights directly on them. And don't place them by the surround sound system for your large screen tv.

Are you talking about BettaFix Remedy? Yes, I would use that but, more importantly, I'd use aquarium salt. 1 tspn per gallon.

Actually, it's another brand of BettaFix, but same basic stuff. Already have the Aquarium salt in there:D I'll keep my room dark and as quite as I can. Well, the TV is almost always on lowder then it should be, but that's in a different room, and the neibor is constantly screeming at her kids, but hopefully that won't bother them. Thanks!
