I Hate Wal-mart So Much!

AAARRGGHHH!!!! I was at Wal Mart today (bleh... ), and I went to the fish department mostly to make sure no jerk had put any bettas together to see them fight (that happens now and then, so I usually check them each time I find myself in Wal Mart), I noticed that they had a tank of green pufferfish (I want to say figure 8's?). There had to have been at least 15 of them together in one tiny tank, and they all had ragged fins to some extent, but the smallest few were sitting on the bottom of the tank with NO fins! Well, they had little nubs for thier side fins, flapping wildly, trying to stay upright, but the tails, top fins, and bottom fins were COMPLETELY chewed off! :-( Those poor fish. I wanted to buy all the little ones and either try to let them recover (I don't think they could?) or at the very least, put them out of thier misery. Those poor, poor fish. :-(

Sorry, I know we have these threads all the time, but this upset me so much I just had to post. I have seen terrible conditions at LFS's before, but I have to say this was the worst.

I wanted to complain to a manager or something, but my dad was with me and he would get angry at me. :/

I wanted so bad to do something for those poor fish, but buying them would just perpetuate the problem, wouldn't it? :(

Lol wait... theres a fish department in WALMART?
i never see it...maybe not in Canada

I was actually in Wal-Mart the other day and noticed that they are starting to carry all sorts of Gouramis, Tetras, most tropical fish that a smaller locally owned pet store would have. They ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS have dead fish floating around in their tanks. One lady I talked to about them actually sounded like she knew what she was talkinb about, but I have yet to see her still working there. It's horrible. The tank of Puffers they had, I don't think there was one in there that was in decent health. I always buy my fish at PetsMart, which my local store always has quality fish and their employees are very knowledgeable. I think Wal-Mart is aiming more toward convience and not the health of their fish.
