Yesterday I picked out two platys: One sunburst and one yellow mickey mouse. I was wondering, is it better to feed a larger amount once a day or a small amount twice a day?
It would work, but it might be better to do one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You can do once at noon and then at night f you like. It's not like they're gonna starve. Just make sure you feed them a half an hour before the light goes off. Some fish like corys can see in the dark-but many others can't.
If you have a female, you will have platy babies, i'd bet pretty much anything on that. If you have a male and a female, the male will chase the female and stress her out. If you have 2 males, they may fight for territory and dominance. Or, in my case they might be best buddies lol.
Hope that helped.
The male has a gonopodium, which is the equivalent of a penis in a fish. Sorry if that was out of order, but that's just true. The females has a curved fin and the male's is pointy.
