I got me 2 new fish today

I still have them at the pet store I havent got a tank ready for them yet. But they are about 7 inches long and still growing..My question is will a 20 gallon long tank be ok for them. Until I get my 180 gallon tank cycled. It will take me atleast 1 month to get it ready.

I think you could run into some aggression problems in such a small tank.

Any way the lfs can hold them for you untill your 120 is ready?

i dont think so at all, you might get away with the jack in there but the red devil would die from stress, as for both of them in it then the devil would kill it.
Just ask them to hold it untill its done or buy some fish to chuck in the tank to speed it up.

if you put those two into a 20 gallon tank 100% you will have one either killed or have the hell beat out of it, id have to say if the store is willing to hold them, then leave them there, and if they cant, void the gaurentee if they have one.
