Why should I tell you?
My red platy gave birth while I was at school, Ive only had her for 1 week and 3 days! She must have been preggers before..... i got more fry to look foward to because I think my female calico platy is preg aswell!!! The only problem is, I need to move them from the main tank and all i have to put them in is a bowl! I was gonna get a breeding net but I wasnt expecting the birth so soon! What should I do??
I counted about 7 so far

Just leave them in the tank if you have plenty of plants and hiding spaces some of them will survive, good luck with the new arriavals.

Syphon into a bucket and then spend 15 to 20 minutes staring into the bucket with a strong light source. If you syphoned any fry into the bucket they will usually swim up towards the light and then you can net them out of the bucket and put them backl into the tank. I think they kind of like the syphon roller coaster ride. They usually aren't any worse for the ride. :D

There all fine! they sit on top of my filter but dont go any where near the sides, they hide when the adults come, I managed to get one in a huge fish net and im floating it on the surface of the tank, since the one I got in the net is one of the smallest, i feed him/her/it crumbled flake

Congratulations! :D Good luck with the fry!

I don't know why platies love to breed! Within two weeks, three of my female platies delivered a total of 103 fry!
