i got dirt in my tank

I was doing a water change and I have this plant next to one of my tanks and i guess one of my hands was wet and i put it in the dirt with out a realizing and then put my hand in the tank. My fish were trying to eat it and then it just kind of floated away. I don't add any chemicals to this plant or anything. Do you think it will be ok or should i do a massive water change?

As long as it was just a little they should be fine. My 55 has a few plants on top, they got overwatered a couple times & leaked muddy water into the tank. The fish were fine, I figure it's similar to what is found in their environment.

you should be fine. I got mud and dirt in my tank before, and the fish thought it was food, then it was gone, no fish died, and everything seemed to be fine. as long as it was only a little dirt.
