Hi

Just wanted to share my news. My guppies gave birth (i've only had them a week, did not know they were pregnant).

Well I though survival of the fittest, if they survive great, it not then thats life.

However, for two days I've watched them hide in the filter and under the rocks, get chased by the bigger fish and I couldn't take it anymore. They would look up at me with their big eyes. :/  So I went and got a nursery net. :D

When I got home I found FIVE and they are all safely in the net.

I feel very proud of them :fun: :fun: :fun: :fun:

Here's a picky. Not easy to see so I circled them to help.

Arn't they great :D

P.S. How long will it be before they are big enough not to get eaten.

Those are adorable pictures, I'm glad you're willingly to save them. :) Trust me, when they all grow up and you see they're different colours, it's all worth it. I put my fry back with the adults at 3months old. By that time they've reached atleast a inch. Bare in mind, i only have guppies in this tank. Obviously if you have larger fish in the tank, wait another couple of months before introducing them.

Hard to see, as you say, but I'm sure they're cute little buggers. I hope my swords have fry soon, the male was courting the females, so hopefully I start to see the gravid spot take colour soon.

Congratulations, hope your fry do well.

:) Some of my babies are already an Inch and thay are only 3 weeks old I've been feeding them 3 times a day sometimes a little more and they have half of the 10 g tank just for them.... I only have about 10 babies that are an inch long and I think they are all females because they are bigger then the 13 other ones that I can't see what they are (boy or girl)....

Good luck with your babies they are the cutties little things  Congratulations
Erin :D
