FOR THE MBUNA TO MOVE ON UP! I found a slightly used (in great shape, I went and saw it) 85 gal with canopy, cabnet stand, T5 lights and some external filter for 140. I figure I will just offer him 120 and get out of there!

Okay I'm confused. Your heading stated "I Found An Awesome Deal I Can't Pass Up" yet you did.

Now you're plotting to go back with cash and offer 120 instead of asking price of 140 (nothing wrong with wheeling and dealing). Nothing for nothing I would've taken the cash along initially or waited to have the cash in hand to go. Now you'll have to call to make sure the tank is still there or else you'll waste a trip since someone who actually couldn't pass up the deal bought it after you passed it up. Best of luck.

Well he is holding it for me, I just have to wait for the weekend to take my dad's pick up... we just never agreed 140 was the final price :hyper:

Too good to be true, I went to buy it and apparently we had discussed that the canopy and stand were staying with him.... an 85 gal tank for 140 bucks?? RIP OFF!

I guess it depends on where you are. Way back in 1986 I bought a 55 gallon tank and hood with stand in Savannah GA. from one of the few LFS in the area and paid $400.00.

Well just considering around here I can get a brand new 75 gal for about 90 bucks it seems like that would just be silly to get the 85... :good:

You can thank eBay for that... everyone thinks their crap is worth more now because of that stupid site. :shout:

Problem is their so called crap can be worth more on ebay, i cant understand some peoples mentallity as they will gladly pay £5 less than new for a 1yr old second hand item.. Ive always worked a price out on a second hand item im selling by using half its retail as a guide but since selling gear on ebay i allow the buyers to decide what its worth..

Remember one mans crap is anothers treasure......

For 500 bucks at petsmart( I dont like them but this is a good deal)you can get a 150 gallon wave aquarium, oak stand, filter, food, free subsription to aquarium magazine, large fish net, rocks, plastic plants, and a 1 year garantee. Is that a deal or what? Oh yeah it also comes with samples of all the new foods from wardley, tetra, and Hikari. Happy New Years.

Wow that is a deal! Very nice! You gonna pick one up!? :good:

If I had 500 dollars, plus tax that would be 550 dollars, you bet I would pick one up! I dont even have one dollar, no joking( I dont even get an allowance)!
