after many weeks of planning ,, reading and asking questions im finally setting up my planted discus community.
the thing im nervous about is actually planting the plants. every time ive dabbled with real plants i have weighted them with lead as they always seem to float straight back up.

is there a nack to getting plnts to stay put?

If you have stemplants, make sure at least an inch to two inches of the stem is exposed. This will allow quite a bit to be buried into the substrate, which helps with keeping the plant down. If not enough stemplant is bare, then it will easily float up when you bury the plant.

For rosette type plants (crypts, swords, vallis), plant deep enough that the root ball is submerged into the substrate, yet the "crown" (where the leaves emerge from) is exposed.

Don't be nervous, just be patient. :good:
