So I finally got fish in my tank and now I want more lol. 3 days ago I got a coral beauty, a red striped goby ( I was told it was called a watchman but all I can find called watchman have spots mine has red stripes, and a banded coral shrimp. I am so excited to finally have fish in the big empty tank lol. So my question is we really want an eel. We have decided to do a half reef tank our fish guy said if we don't do any really fragile coral or have small fish we could do it. We have a 120 gallon tank what kind of eel do you reccomend?

The Zebra Moray (Gymnomuraena zebra) is safe with all fish 99% of the time. They are gentle giants and well suited for a 120 gallon reef. They will however eat crustaceans, except for hermit crabs and cleaner shrimp.

what about the banded coral shrimp. Will a zebra eel eat that? Also it says on the fish site care level is difficult. Have you found them hard to care for? Not sure if it's like freshwater because I can't keep the easy fish alive just the difficult ones lol.

Zebra Morays are very easy to care for. However, extra water changes may be necessary to keep up with his waste production.

It may eat the coral banded shrimp... these are cleaners in the wild so then again may not. They also pack quite a pinch and are capable of defending themselves against some fish.
