I just won a £50 from premium bond i dont know what to get. I might get a large plec. Although people give them away because of their stpid buying decisions

Congrats, you could probably get a nice plec for free, like you say many people give them away when they grow too big (provided you have the space)

Premium bonds are a national savings scheme in the UK. You buy a bond for money's worth and instead of getting interest, you're entered into a prize draw. You can also withdraw your money at any point without any loss.

Tend to be favoured by the rich though because of the tax advantages of basically investing in the government.


Saying that, my hubby's had a £5 bond since he was a kid and never won a single thing! Congrats Ginge.

Hmm....I dunno how I feel about those premium bonds tho. I'd rather have one where your money just doubles in, what is it, 10 years for a Federal Bond in the US? I know I probably have $2,000 in matured bonds from my grandparents sitting up at their house.

Yes but we dont have that kinf of thing available to us. Im happy with my £1000 in bonds. I also have a £250 risk take in an upcoming business.
