Lol, j/k.
Got your attention? Good...
While I'm cleaning my 55G, I usually use windex to clean the outer glass. Now of course, I make sure the lid is tightly shut, and so far I've never had any problems with the fish getting sick, or dieing.
One thing my cichlids do is that they chase and charge the peice of glass that the windex gets sprayed on. I think its kind fun to watch, does anyone elses fish do something like this, while your cleaning your tank or what not?

Sometimes when I'm wiping down the outside of the glass with a plain wet paper towel my bettas will flare at the paper towel and chase it around.

I dont really clean the outside of my betta tanks, they never seem to get dirty!
I do full bowl cleans, and I guess thats when It gets clean...

Well sometimes if I stick something in the tank and water starts going down the side of the tank and it dries there will be water stains and thats when I wipe it down to get rid of the water stains.

My fish always try to eat the drips... silly buggers. I just use clean water, a cloth to wet the tank with and a squeegee to dry it (no marks :D)

I guess that does work.
I dunno, windex just seems fastest and easiest to me,a nd I've never had any problems.
