I Don't Think I Can Do This Anymore...

I just lost Tic-Tac, my favorite boy, I tried everything I could for him, everything I could think of, I was there with him till the end, I watched him take his final breath and tomorrow I'm going to give him a proper buriel in the back yard. I'm so completely heartbroken right now :cry1: :cry1: Last week I lost mercury, my first fish ever. I think I need to take a break from bettas for awhile. I don't know what I'm going to do with the guys I have... But I know if I lose another one that means that much to me, I'll break down. I don't know how you guys do it, its so emotionally draining. Everytime I think of Tic-Tacs sweet little face peeking out at me from his favorite hidey hole I start crying, it hurts so bad. I'm sorry little guy, its my fault you're gone, I should have been able to save you... But I'll see you again some day. Goodbye my little man.

im really sorry for your loss,

the other week i found one of my rainbow sharks had jumped out of my tank, it jumped so hard it knocked the lid off the tank

it was sad, but i only had it for a week and i was heart broken, i can't even imagine how you feel

Pause for a moment and think....if you hadnt chosen those little guys and loved them so much they could have gone to someone who didnt look after them properly. However long you have them be it for an hour, a day, a week or a month they have known loads of love. You have got absolutely no eason to blame youself. I would rather be looked after by someone who cared and loved me for a little while than stuck with someone else.

liz2 already said everything I was going to. Rest in peace, Tic-Tac. He's not the last betta you'll ever love and lose. Sadly, these things happen.
