So, I managed to move my 55g planted tank, via a ten hour drive. I added eco complete, replanted my plants. All I lost was one black neon, which I stunned with the net when trying to catch him. My plants look terrible, however. The crypts, vals, sword, etc. all look translucent, some of them are rotting away completely. I added 60 percent RO water when doing the change, but the new tap water must have been very hard and akaline. I added more peat filtration, and the PH is looking better (6.8 - normally 6.5). Should I just let the plants die off and grow back? Moving this tank was quite an ordeal, but it's nice to have it here. I have set it up nicely for a groundcover, so it's just a matter of adding more CO2 at this point. Will the plants come back strong?

crypts are very sensitive to changes and therefore you'll get crypt melt, when you see any leaf showing signs of problems chop it off. New growth will come back slowly.

Similar things might happen to other plants if you've changed the water conditions, when I moved I saved all my water in jerry can things. Then the change wasn't so dramatic.

Some plants just don't like being messed around and or left outside of water.
