Hello everyone I got a free tank recently (10gal) with one fish that I cant really tell what it is. I think it might be a white cloud but I'm not sure. I'm also unsure of it's gender.

sorry about the quality.

and if anyone has any ideas for stocking that would be awesome.
I was thinking maybe some cherry shrimp and some neon tetras, but I'm always scared of over stocking so I'm not sure.

Giant Danio. I hate them personally, too active and aggressive in my opinion. Get rid of it as soon as possible, it will outgrow your tank.

Yeah, its a giant danio. Needs at least a 50 gallon tank and to be kept in a group of at least 6, but 10 or more is better imo.

As for the neons and cherry shrimp, a dozen or so neons and a similar number of shrimp would be good.

is there another type of fish I can add?

A trio of male guppies, would add activity at the surface. Or perhaps a trio of honey dwarf gouramis.

When was the last time you saw a Giant Danio with golden marking that went vertically and horizonatally to form shapes? This fish in question is not a Giant Danio (Devario aequipinnatus) or the similar Malabar Danio (Devario malabaricus).

Look to...
Danio cf. choprae
Danio
sp. 'TW01'
Danio aesculapii

amongst others as possibilities

Looks like a Devario to me.

Im glad its not me, I looked at it and thought that it was 100% not a giant danio. Or not D. aequipinnatus... I do think its Devario malabaricus though.
