I can't make up my mind! @_@

Discus it is. My other half actually LIKES a freshwater fish! It is a miracle! He never likes a freshwater fish and he finally REALLY likes Discus. So I am thinking maybe 4 discus after my tank matures?

Be sure to read up about discus they are fragile
I know. I plan on doing 10% water changes ever day or 20% water changes every other day and somewhere around a 50% water change at the end of every week and it will be heavily planted.

Discus also get stressed by overly-active or large fish so clown loaches etc are not the best idea. They also like high temps and appreciate being in big groups. A group of 6 is usualy reccomended for younger fish at least. Anyway, I was just going to ask whether you have seriously thought about having to do 10-20% water changes every day. You are much better off simply sticking to realy good over-filtration and under-stocking, planting thoroughly and not over-feeding because fish like discus are very unforgiving of mistakes or if you forget a water change so it's always best to have a routine that is realistic and easy to keep up with but will still produce the same results.

Oh and I agree totaly with your descission to move your community fish into the big tank. :) That is very generous of you and shows that you want the best for them even though your own plans were different.

I have two 75 gallon filters on it and most of the fish will be calm and not overly active.

It is easy for me to do water changes. Just put the syphon in the tank and let it suck up water into a big bucket. Drag the bucket into the bathroom (right outside my room) and dump it into the bathtub. Of course checking for any fish that might have swam into the syphon.

I never forget water changes and if I missed one for one day, I am sure my filters would be enough to handle it. I am also heavily planting my tank as well.

Yea, I feel so bad for them that they are in the 29 gallon while I am "hogging" the 120 gallon all to myself. I think they'll appreciate and I'd pretty much do anything to make my fish happy. Why get more fish when you already have cute little buggers that you can make happier..or more happy whatever. :p
