I Cant Get My Nitrates Down

Stuck on 30,i dont understand why cant i get these down,do i need to wait to do a nitrate test right after a water change?,my tap nitrate is less then 2ppm,any1 have any ideas

use this stuff stress zyme i had the same problem until when i used it at first mine was 32 after i used stress zyme it went down to 20 then a week later i used it again went down to 16

Stress zyme may well help, but the key is to find out what the problem is rather than solving an unknown problem (if that makes sense?).

Lhutch, what chemicals, if any, do you add to your water when doing water changes? Do they contain nitrate?

How often do you do water changes? If regular changes are not carried out, it can sometimes take a few to shift it.
