What to put in our 55gallon community tank. I currently have a pair of gold rams and a pair of golden veil angels. There is also a female guppy, a female mollie, and some ghost shrimp. I am leaning towards a group of oto cats or cory cats but was hoping to get a couple ideas from you all.

To me, nothing looks better than a huge school of tetra, especially neon's, and especially against a black background.

Neons are cool, but they are such weak fish. Get something a little more hardy. I am going to be getting some otos this weekend so I am very excited for that!

colombian redfin tetras are cool esp when they get full colour of blue body and red fin and def too big for a angel to eat

xXx

I think an african butterfly fish would be great in there. It might eat the female guppy though. And get cories instead of ottos as ottos are very sensitive to water. If you get cories, get atleast 5.

Don't African butterfly's just float on the surface?

They swim on surface yes, but they look awesome overview and side view and there an excellent top dweller. I have MANY fish in my tank and my only top dweller is my golden killifish. Now i just bought my ABF and i finally have a fish that stays on top of water and never submerges downward. It's also really fun feeding them crickets. They also have tons of personality! But they can jump out of tank, so your tank has to be covered at all times.

You better keep him well fed or he's going to start going after the fish.

He isnt that big (he is a skinny one with no health problems) and my fish are to big for him anyway. The only potential meals are the cherry barbs but they stay at bottom of tank.
