I Can Get A Ro System

Hey, for some reason my mum was againsed me getting an RO system, no idea why but now she just said I can get what I want. All i need to know is what is a decent brand, I only need it for a 120 litre tank and then I can have a reef tank (wooo!). Also How and where to I connect the thing? lol

Also when do I replace the replaceable parts?

Sounds silly but im just clueless.

Have a look at Ro-man.co.uk or osmotics.co.uk. I picked up an 6 stage RO unit completely unused a couple of years back for about £60 from ebay. It has 3 pre-filters, RO membrane, DI unit and post filter carbon unit. You don't need to go as mad as that though. If you're on a budget, go for a 3-4 stage filter. Shop around though as some places are pretty expensive in comparison.

Check on ebay. You might find someone seliing one for cheap. All you need do then is replace the filters.

dont get an ro man unit. They have gone into liquidation and arnt trading ...

best bet would be osmatics. ideally you need a 4 stage unit.

ultimate reef. taken alot of peoples money who have been left with nothing. apparently the 2 owners have fallen very ill so have basically closed it down.

You can get onto there home page but you can't enter the shop as its 'down for maintenance' been like that for at least 1 month. I also asked in very good marine shop a few weeks ago if they had any left and he said no they sold the last one a few days ago and they've gone into liquidation
