I Broke The Tube :(

omg I'm a idiot I was cleaning my tank today
my fluval venzia 190 corner one and I lifted the light out and it cracked in the middle I must have gripped it to hard? it cut me and I almost dropped all the electrics into the water. rang pets at home ad wanted s tropical bulb 22 inch long and 24 watt. they didn't have any. my partner went to our local store all they had was a marine bright 24 watt they sold him that. in a way I like it better as can See all my neons tho I'm worried about getting more algae. can anyone advise? and I cost us 16.95 next time mist be mire careful. sorry for bad spellings on my phone x

I couldn't find bulbs in my area at all that were appropriate for my tank (length and wattage) and I ordered mine online from Aqua Essentials... was so worried ordering it but it came awesomely packed and quickly. Not sure where you are, but that website is from the UK.

Keep the marine one and see how it goes, if you find an increase in algae, get a lower rated bulb and keep the marine one as a spare... just in case...you know..... one gets broken or something!

EDIT: and don't feel too bad, i did drop my light unit in the tank >.< that will cost ten times the &pound;16 you spent,
. Bah! Thankfully one tube still works
