Okay, so my test as of this morning read 0 amonia, 0 nitrite and a little bit of nitrate, between 0 and 20. I use the mardel "dip" test strips. I took a sample of the water to the LFS and they tested it and said there was no sign of nitrate. They used a liquid test kit... which is more actuarate and what do you think?

The dip tests are notoriously inaccurate, that said, so are LFS testers. Strangly enough, you can test your water with the same kit the LFS uses and get vastly different results. In many cases the LFS will tell you your water is perfect so you can get fish.

Best case scenario, get your own liquid test kit, API Master Kit is a really good one.
