I do not know what to do as we will be moving home soon...we will be living in temporary accomodation with my son and family. I have a 90 gal tank and it will be impossible to set this up at my sons home. I am so sad that I will have to let my precious little fishes go. Most of them have been with me since I began the hobby and I look after them really well. Some were even born in my tank and I think they are so special. Can any one give me any ideas what I can do with them...how can I possibly find them a good home. I am not letting my tank go. As soon as I can I will start up again.

Look for a local aquatics club, & ask if anyone could home your fish and/or tank while you are temporarily relocated. I would be surprised if a city the size of Ontario didn't have an aquatics club.

Thanks Tolak for the reply.

But won't it stress my fish out to move them and set them up a couple of times in a month or two.

I am quite a newbie..I have only had fish for a year and still have a lot to learn.

Dont you have any friends that could home them either?
It would be a shame to lose them completely.

How comes you can get cateries and dog kennels. Someone should do it for fish!!!!! I spose you'd have to have a minimum stay cause of stress of move etc... but I think it could work!!

Might be best to wait to set it up in permenant accommodation if you can!!!

There are plenty of members from Canada here also, probably more than a few in or near Ontario.

As long as you move the fish properly, a month or 2 betwen moves should not bother them. Your lfs gets in stock on a regular basis, & sells them in between shipments, usually within a week or 2. A month between moves is nothing.

I will start asking a few friends If you think it could work...I really don't want to lose my babies.

People think I'm soft in the head and say they are only fish. I HATE THAT!
