Hi folks,

I thought my tank buying days were over....I have a 55 gallon, 30 gallon long and a 15 gallon already in my home and absolutely nowhere else to fit another decent sized tank.

However, next week I am being transferred to a different branch at work.....brand new office, brand new furniture etc.....and I have persuaded my boss to let me have a tank in my office!!! Hooray!! :kana: .

Now, having seen the office already I know I have room (if I want) for another 55 gallon. My problem is maintenance though. Water sources are not too near and huge water changes would be mayhem :/ .

Because of this I have decided to go for a smaller tank (but not too small). Having done a little bit of searching I have come up with the following list of possibles....

Juwel Rio 180
Juwel Trigon 190
Juwel Vision 180

Fluval Uno 800
Fluval Duo Deep 600
Fluval Duo Deep 1000.

Out of all of these the Trigon would probably be my preference (not too much space taken up and looks gorgeous!)

Now. My mind is a swirl with all the types of fish I haven't got, but would like, and this is why I need your help.

Bearing in mind I already have a community tank, an Mbuna tank and a livebearer tank at home I need you to all please put your thinking caps on and give me some ideas and visions of a different set up I could have.....Discus tank, oddball tank, catfish tank, planted tank, specific biotope tank etc etc and what tank from the above list would be best for each suggestion (again bearing in mind the Trigon would be my favourite, but it isn't written in stone)

All of your suggestions will be hugely appreciated.

steve

I'd have to have the trigon, hopefully getting a 350 in about a month.

As for visions, I'm guessing you'd want something non-planted and low maintainance... cave laden plec tank?

just my 2p ;)

edit: or you could even have my potential free clown loach and tetra

grab a juwel booklet and try and copy there discus design for the trigons, i think they look stunning.

i would go with 1 of the juwels aswell as i think they are more pleasing to the eye that fluval tanks, depending on your office a Trigon in Beech would look tops with discus in there.

i can see sand bottom with large round stones on the bottom then java fern on plenty of wood, and maybe some java moss gorwing on the stones.
