My pet store sells hygrophilia difformis (water wisteria) in small little tubes. I was wondering if these plants could survive if i put them in my tank. I know they are an aquatic plant, but if they are raised emersed out of water, will they die if i suddenly put them in water?

Yeah they adapt to life under the water, the leaf shape changes under water. Its quite an easy plant.

Thank! ill maybe buy it then, or ill try my best to find ones that are already gorwing in the water...

Is it petsmart? Topfin brand? My roomate got some of these and they seem fine. She has just a std 15W t15 light on her ten gallon and no ferts or anything....she's had them in there for about 3 months now and i think only one died. With the proper care I'm sure they'd flourish (although, hers haven't really grown...)
