i'm thinking of getting a 'Hydor Prime 30 External Filter' for my 75gal.

this filter pumps 800 l.p.h and costs £74 with all media

will this be powerful enough to turn my tank over enough and is it a good price? from what ive researched it seem a really good price

cheers

ive just seen this filter CLICK HERE (one at the bottom) and its output is 1600 l.p.h and says its only suitable for tanks up to 50gal... i dont get how its only suitable for 50 gal tanks when it could turn over my 75gal about 4-5 times an hour?

can anyone shed any light on the matter?

I would guess that it is because it is an internal filter and doesn't have particularly large media storage capabilities.
I have no experience of the Hydor range of filters, but for a 75g tank I would definately choose an external over an internal. The Eheim range is always one that gets recommended, they are slightly more expensive, but worth in in terms of quality and lifetime of the filter so I would recommend one of them!
