I have already received soome great advice and that was to post in the right area, namely this one

Anyway on with the question: -

I have just bought and installed the above fancy air pump with blue lights.......looks great

HOW LONG DO I LEAVE IT ON FOR? ALL THE TIME?

well i don't know what your talking about with the blue lights thing but I leave my air pumps on all the time. If it's some sort of night light thing then can you cut on the air pump and not cut on the lights? If so then I'd leave the air pump on and cut on the lights at night or when your looking at the tank at night

Gribs, are you talking about an aquarium decoration that blows bubbles in the water and has lights? Or, are you talking about an air pump that sits outside of the tank that has lights on it? In any case I would keep the think on all the time to help circulate the water.
