Hybridization

Have there been known agression decrease/increase with hybrid bettas? Also, does anyone know if there have been any studies done on hybridization which cause genetic defects? Please let me know, this is one of the subjects I want to do research about for a project. I would love all the info I know about hybrids, thanks!

there are actually qutie a few hybrids out there. the full mask and metallic iridescentsin betta splendens is due to crossing with imbellis and mahachai

It depends entirely on the species hybridised with and individual fish. If I recall, hybrids are sometimes used to fight with (especially smaragdina hybrids), and certainly more often used for that than for display.
