Various fish species have been crossbred over the years either as pure research or as a matter of routine for aquaculture purposes. In order for cross-breeding to succeed, parent fish have to be somewhat closely related.

A few examples:

* tiger muskellunge -- a hybrid between muskellunge and northern pike
* hybrid striped bass -- cross between white bass and striped bass
* tiger trout -- hybrid between brook trout and brown trout
* splake -- hybrid between lake trout and brook trout
* saugeye -- hybrid between walleye and sauger
* hybrid sunfish -- cross between two sunfish species such as pumpkinseed and redear sunfish

Flower Parrot

these arent commonly available fish though
i don't live in america... i have no clue what on earth these fish of which you speak are!

Common hybrids would be

tiger shovelnose+red tailed cat

Flowerhorn (my personal opinion, sysnpilum, red terror, midas, trimac maybe some texas for pearling)
truth is nobody knows the direct origin of Flowerhorns.

Blood parrot (yet again, nobody really knows, most common sugestion is synspillum + midas)

texas + convict

red texas ( im not too sure but i think they are Texas and red devil/midas, im sure T will correct me if i am wrong =P)

theres many many more.

and most of the african mbuna and haps are able to hybridise.
