color is a bit off since the water wasn't perfectly crystal clear so the particulate matter in the water caused a blueish purple haze (2 30w 10,000k bulbs)

Actually, I can't see the natural habitat either. Maybe if the rocks weren't cut perfectly along with the driftwood. Natural habitats look smooth over many years of degradation, not sharp and cluttered. All I have to say is that the lights are saving the look of the tank.

Rivers near where I live are loaded with that sort of rock(actually the source for that rock)

it's good to know that someone actually made the same comment before. the question now is, have u learned? or will u ever learn to accept constructive criticisms? if you're really interested in my opinion, take everything out and start from scratch. take the rocks back from where it belongs.

To vantge: you're not only colour blind you're art blind too...

peace to all!

I removed 5 rocks. Re-oriented the driftwood to make a more natural appearance and added some plants.

first it looked like this

Then I changed to this

Now the current evolution of it.

where's the difference?

You can't see the difference from where it started to where its at now?

I removed about 50% of the rocks. changed the driftwood.

This is pointless 2 people don't like it. I like it. Others claim to like it though till it's complete I wouldn't enter it in TOTM.
Some people on the internet just perfer to be negative and it's pointless arguing.
If I wanted that I'd go hang out at my board.

First of all, don't change up your tank because other people don't like it. Your the one that needs to like it no one else does. If you wanna change it change it because You don't like it. As far everybody else that wants to criticize him/her you didn't have to be so negative. There is such a thing as constructive criticizism and I see none of that in this thread. Personally, I like the tank. However, that is not the reason why I felt the need to post. It's just irritating that you guys gotta be sooo offensive in how you criticize. Its her/his tank. Not yours.

i don't know what u people see great about the tank.. to be honest, the big rocks are not appealing..overall, it needs improvement! Sky, it looks like somebody dropped a log and a bunch of rocks into your tank. again, im just being honest like everybody else who cannot really express their true feelings. it's really hard to accept but ultimately, the truth hurts.

P.S. The tank being named as "Tank of the Month" is just ridiculous! It shocked me! :dunno:

Peace to all!
:grr: who rattled your cage!!!!
remember its all down to personal preference.

very nice tank sky, very worthy of totm nomination too.

watch what you say to other forum members, you are one step away from me reporting you.

Ya ditto to Aberdeen aquarist's post. Watch it!!
Another rule...
If you don't have anything nice to say...
DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!

Great tank, Sky. Why don't you put in a poly filter pad overnight and take another pic without the flash, that would be pretty!!
