I better make this quick...my betta fish is atthe bottom of the tank not moving at all and breathing really fast and healvily He is 2 years old It was his birthday 3 days ago whats wrong with him?

What are your water parameters? It's possible that he died of old age... if you got him from a pet store, he was probably already one year old, which would make him about 3yrs old. That's a good life for a bettta. :) I'm sorry for your loss, though. I know it hurts. :byebye:

The water perameters were just fine all right on or close so im thinking it was old age and yes I did get it from a pet store and it looked about a year or a few months under I guess I need to go get a new one tomorrow but it wont be the same as him :-(

Sorry for your loss but he lived a full life for a betta so don't feel too bad.

Dont go out and get the first betta you see to try and replace him, wait till you find an attractive betta, one that you like, an empty tank might be saddening but its worse when you have full tanks and see the fish that you really want in a store.

that doesnt sound to right to me....i dont mean to brag but i have an old(and i mean old) beta that ive had for 4 years now(u can tell he is old cuzz he no longer shows off to my others in the tanks next to his and he isnt too active as he used to be but he can still move when he wants i.e. when i try to catch him to clean the tank)....anyways im sorry for ur loss
