lmao@ Mollymomma, that was pretty much what it looked like too
Lizard~ the only advice I can give is patience and persistence
When Rab's would go on the floor I would clap my hands loudly and say "HEY,HEEEEY!" but he'd keep going so I'd grab a paper towel, clean it up with no cleaners...show him the paper towel and tell him "NO!" and throw it in his litter box, then I'd go REALLY clean up the spot, this way he wasn't confused and smelling cleaners on the towel...he'd find it in his litter box when he went back to his cage. This went on for months (and months). All his little pellets that I'd pick up would be thrown into his box too. When they're young I would imagine it's much like a baby human, they have no control over the poop, those pop out with every hop

but PEE on the other hand

,he'd go out of his way to pee in my kitchen and that was the hard part. He did this all the way up until the day he was neutared (sp?), he had begun to spray so I took him to the vet asap, and ever since then he just knows what to do. Like I said, he'll stop whatever he's doing to run back and tinkle in his box
One tip I saw once (but was inpractical for me) is to put litter boxes all over the house, mostly in the places you find the rabbit using the most. But I managed to do it using only the one box IN his cage, I sure wasn't going to have a litter box in my kitchen
Best of luck to your friend! She'll be thrilled with her bun after it outgrows this stage
