 the bunny! He's so cute.
I bought my oldest a bunny when she was little. Since she was little I was taking care of him of course and wouldn't ya know I was allergic to him :-( I had to find him a new home. Had I kept him I would have spent the rest of my days looking like a red swollen eyed monster mommy lol

Thanks you guys, I'm crazy about him

That stinks that you were allergic Mollymomma  , they really are some of the best pets :)

Yes,he has free run of the house, we recently got a dog so things are a little different now, they both have to take turns with "living room" time. The first 6 months with him were very trying but now he's worth his weight in gold, he's an absolute dream. Uses his litter box just like a cat, even better than a cat though, he'll run in the house to use his box when he's outside playing  ,goofball

He's just like a lap cat  ,always begging to be pet & loved, hopping up in our laps and following us from room to room, what a riot B)

I wish I could have a pet bunny like that. Maybe some day, but not right now. Although almost everyone I talk to says that rabbits are really bad pets -_-

aaaaww they say that huh? That's too bad, I'll admit it was very hard to deal with him in the beginning, he wanted to "mark his territory" all the time and he was very clumsy,pulling/knocking things off shelves and whatnot, chewing everything within reach. But we kept on trying and set up certain bounderies such as : no one was to ever take him OUT of his cage, that's his safehaven and no one was to ever put him IN his cage because then it would turn into his jail (although I'll admit I chased him in there a few times when he was younger  ) I would make huge scenes without REALLY yelling but most certainly expressing my displeasure by chunking the paper towels that I used to clean up his "mess" into his litter box and he eventually caught on,but it IS hard to train something that doesn't give a diddly flip whether your upset or not,he'd just sit there looking at me go on & on in a tantrum,at least a dog/cat will cowar & show SOME remorse   after he was "fixed" he became soooo good  I love him  ,he was worth all the work

Hey wuv...lovely little bunny. :) How did you litter box train him? A friend of mine just got a rabbit (for the house) and is wondering the best way to litter box train it. I had rabbits about eight years ago, but they were outside critters.

Thanks!

lmao@ Mollymomma, that was pretty much what it looked like too

Lizard~ the only advice I can give is patience and persistence :/

When Rab's would go on the floor I would clap my hands loudly and say "HEY,HEEEEY!" but he'd keep going so I'd grab a paper towel, clean it up with no cleaners...show him the paper towel and tell him "NO!" and throw it in his litter box, then I'd go REALLY clean up the spot, this way he wasn't confused and smelling cleaners on the towel...he'd find it in his litter box when he went back to his cage. This went on for months (and months). All his little pellets that I'd pick up would be thrown into his box too. When they're young I would imagine it's much like a baby human, they have no control over the poop, those pop out with every hop  but PEE on the other hand :grr: ,he'd go out of his way to pee in my kitchen and that was the hard part. He did this all the way up until the day he was neutared (sp?), he had begun to spray so I took him to the vet asap, and ever since then he just knows what to do. Like I said, he'll stop whatever he's doing to run back and tinkle in his box

One tip I saw once (but was inpractical for me) is to put litter boxes all over the house, mostly in the places you find the rabbit using the most. But I managed to do it using only the one box IN his cage, I sure wasn't going to have a litter box in my kitchen

Best of luck to your friend! She'll be thrilled with her bun after it outgrows this stage
