We were very excited to see our first platy fry (that woman was pregant forever!) ealier this week.
As we watched one of them swim up to the top, our biggest rasbora swam up to the surface and tried to keep the fry safe in his mouth. He missed, but the silly fry was still at the surface. Attempt number two, however, was successful.
(We have a couple of other fry that are a bit smarter; they dash into the gravel when danger comes.)
So, if any of you are wanting to keep your platy fry safe, I would recommend not keeping them with Harlequin Rasboras!
