just recently i have been thinking about this....
i have a marineland emperor filter, it filters 400 gph, which is over 8 times my tank.
people mention that a 3-4 overturn on the tank is good, so mine seems alot compared to that.
now ive been looking to get an aquaclear or fluval filter, since mine is old and just to help with less surface agitation.
should i stick to the 3-4 times overturn? my emperor doesnt seem to much, but it could be.....
also, how true is the surface agitation 'theory' on biowheels? i have a diy co2 set up with 2 2L bottles. diffused by a powerhead and vacuum tube. im reading around 25ppm, which is what i like.... yet i have an emperor with 2 biowheels so how true can that be?
does that mean that when i get a fluval or aquaclear that my co2 can possible rise since there is less agitation?
lots of questions, sorry.
