I know Im probably going to sound stupid.... but Im looking into buying one but looking at the pictures it doesnt show a cord or anything to plug in anywhere... So how does it filter the water?

i think you connect it to an air pump and it works that way -

on the DIY section there is a topic that shows you how to make a mini filter

Yupp they connect to an air pump (which you usually have to buy seperatly)
