How's My tank doing?

I bought my tank (45g) 2 and a half weeks ago and I've had 8 tiger barbs and a pleco in there for about 2 week to hopefully help speed up the cycling. I finally went and bought one of those test kits and found out my pH is 7.6 and 7.8. The Ammonia looks like it's at Zero, and the NitrItes look to be .25mg/L. I just changed out about 10 gallons of the water to try to get rid of some of those NitrItes. I'm hoping to try to put a Freshwater Puffer and some eels in there soon, but I'm going to hold off for a bit. Just out of curiousity how does the chemistry of my tank look at this point? TIA

My advice is to be patient with the cycling and make sure the ammonia and nitrites are at 0 before adding fish(but not much) and you have to stock your tank slowly if you didn't go for a fishless cycle....I don't think a puffer or an eel is compatible with each other nor with the rest of the tanks residence IMO.....

Re-tested again today, and both Nitrites and ammonia are zero
