I have a jewel 96 tank (96 liters) with the Filtration system it comes with

In there i have

1 Glass Cat fish
1 Bristlle nosed Pleco
2 sword tails
2 Clown loach
1 Red Tailed Shark
2 Ghost Tetra (which i hate)
1 mountain Shrimp
1 German Ram
1 angel Fish
1 gourami

There about 5 plants in there and a couple of bits of bog would, but there looks to be lots of space.

Whats do you think?

looks overstocked to me

at a conservative estimate you've around 40" of fish in there. and that's being very optomistic about the size the clown loaches will get to

1 Glass Cat fish - these need to be in bigger groups, you posted elsewhere so you knwo this, but obviously increasing the numbers will push your stocking up
1 Bristlle nosed Pleco
2 sword tails
2 Clown loach - should be kept in groups of 6, a they get big they need a much bigger tank
1 Red Tailed Shark
2 Ghost Tetra (which i hate) - should be in groups of 6
1 mountain Shrimp
1 German Ram
1 angel Fish - needs a tank at least 18" deep
1 gourami

EEEK!

I woul dhappily part with the Ghost tetra and Angel fish. Maybe that will help things a little

I inhereted the tank and the fish, so im absolved!

Im thinking of getting a bigger tank for my other room so i could probably put the clowns in there. I bet that around 60%+ of hobby tanks are over stocked!

undoubtedly......... but just cos everyone else does it doesn't mean you should too!

i think you need something like a 100g 6' tank to keep clowns properly.

Wow, that big! I do love my clowns though :)

There very small at the min (2-3") so they will be ok for a while.

How do you get rid of Fish? i dont wanna kill em

take them back to the shop you bought them from, you might be lucky and get trade in so you can swap them for something you want.

or you can advertise them in the buy/sell and swap forum and see if anyone else can give them a home :)

always worth a try

our lfs always jokes we never spend any money there, we just trade in fish, plants corals etc. helps the hobby pay for itself a little :)
