Fish Aficionado
Welp... I was looking for more fish forums to post on and found this place. It seems like a great community so decided to join
We (me and bf) got our very first fish tank for Xmas. I looked up alot of info and just did NOT realize how much work is needed for a tank. I would've been one of those people who just put water in the tank and plopped in some fish thinking that that would be ok.
But now.. I know better
Unfortunatly though... b/c of my bad bad habit of skimming over things I read... I looked over the fact that cyclng your tank the fishless way was easier and alot quicker... so we went out and got 4 long-finned yellow danios (or albino zebra danios).
Right now I'm doing everything I can to make sure my 4 fish are going to make it through the cycling process.
Oh wait no.. 4 fish PLUS some danio fry that I've sucked up through the pump while doing water changes that are now in a breeders net
So yeah.. that's basically it heh...
I want to eventually either get 2 5 gallons that will house 2 bettas or a 10gallon divided. I want to get a male and a female. Not b/c I plan on breeding them or anything... I just want them to keep eachother company side by side
With those tanks though.. I'll definetly be doing the cycling the fishless way
heh
