Hi,all you helpfull people.I am wondering how long to leave my Fluval 3+ running along side my new Eheim2213.I know i should not take it out straight away. But what would you do.
Also if I turn of the Electric ,will I have to reprime the Eheim :fish:

You could of course just take the small sponges from the Fluval 3 and squash them into the eheim - I'm pretty sure they'd fit. That's probably your easiest option.

But if you don't think they will fit, i'd run both filters for 2 weeks and then remove the Fluval - but monitor your water for ammonia and nitrite as your tank "might" (but shouldn't really) go into a small cycle. :)

This is certainly an interesting Hobby.I feel I have gained a lot of Knowledge in a short time just reading the Posts on this Forum.
We had a small tank in the 1970`s but things have realy changed since then.It was fill the tank, run it for a few days then plonk the Fish in!!!
At least doing a Fishless Cycle you dont lose the Fish.
