How To Work Out Stocking Level

Hi, how do I work out my stocking level please?

I have 10 Tiger Barbs , 4 gouramis and a BN plec in a 95usg tank with 2 externals.

What percentage am I stocked ? 25% ? 50% ? 75% ?

A rough guide is 1" of adult fish for each US gallon so roughtly 95" of adult fish for your tank, this is only a rough guide and isnt really suitable for larger fish, but is a fine guide to follow for the size of fish you have. Also when you have a mature tank of over 6-12 months then you can normally stretch this stocking level even further providing you have sufficient filtration.

Search the internet to find the adult sizes of your fish, add them all up to find out the total of adult sizes for your fish, this will help you work out what your stocking level is looking like.
