Do you treat this with melafix?

It turns out the danios have it too, only the tetra are ok.
So the tank has been treated with melafix and I will do as it says for 7 days.....aswell as adding aquarium salt to help them get better that bit faster......*fingers crossed*

not sure that melafix alone will do you any good. Its more use as a preventative measure to stop them developing it in the first place(If they have torn fins). its basically just tea tree oil.
i would recommend getting some Myxazin. thats for treatment of fin-rot, body-rot and ulcers.
hope everybody gets well soon :flowers:

so they lie on the bottle?!
it says for rapid regrowth of fins and body injuries....it even states fin rot on there

and the aquarium salt says that it aids of course healing diseased fish, as well as conditioning them.

So far it's not gotten any worse today, but I suppose give it another night and things may be more clear 2morrow.

In regards to the new fish or water that was with the new fish causing this....is there anything bar water changes along with treatment that I should be doing?
