How To Tell The Gender Of German Blue Ram

I am new to German blue rams. I just got two German blue rams. I think it is a pair but not 100% sure.

I read about how to tell a male and a female from the internet but still not sure.

One of the rams has longer pointed dorsal fin near the caudal fin. But both fish seem to have slight pink bellies and blue spots coloration in the black spot and they are about the same size . These are the characteristics that throw me off. I thought males don't have pink bellies and blue spots coloration in the black spot.

Also, I am not sure if these two will ever form a pair. what are the chances? Also, the male, one with the longer pointed dorsal fin, keeps on chasing the other one and she squeezes herself into the java moss all the time.

Any advice.

Males usually have richer colours and a pointier dorsal fin, the females tend to have a pin belly.
