hi, i was wandering is there any way of telling the difference between swim bladder and pregnancy? my orange speckled molly was looking quite plump and i was getting quite excited to the thought of have baby fry around ive waited so long for more babies but that same night i found her face down in one of the plants, it felt like it came on so quickly and there was nothing i could do as i watched her, is there any clear symptoms to look out for in future to indicate swim bladder?

Swim bladder infection causes the fish to swim off balanced. If your fish begins to look almost box-like from the back, she is more than likely pregnant.

Is it just me or are you also confused by eskcarr's reply

If your fish is suffering from swim bladder problems, you will know about it, othergentm is correct by saying the fish will be unballanced, it will swim upwards vertically.

^ Eskcar has been posting very stupid replies recently, im guessing so he can bring up his post count. She is most likely pregnant, as swim bladder makes it ahrd for them to swim. he might have bloat. Does she look like a pinecone when from above?
